About DadSEO

I'm Isaac Gounton, the founder of DadSEO.

I built DadSEO because every SEO audit I ran gave me the same thing: a score and a checklist. Fix this title tag. Add that alt text. Improve your page speed by 0.3 seconds. I'd fix everything, check the score, feel productive — and then watch the traffic graph stay flat.

The problem wasn't the fixes. It was that I had no way to tell which fixes actually mattered. A missing alt tag on the About page got the same weight as broken canonicals on the pages driving 80% of revenue. That's not strategy — that's just being busy.

Why This Tool Exists

I started applying Richard Rumelt's Strategy Kernel framework — Diagnosis, Guiding Policy, Coherent Actions — to SEO. Instead of listing everything that was wrong, I'd first ask: what is actually going on here? Then I'd figure out the one principle that should guide every decision. Then I'd pick the actions that followed from that principle.

It changed everything. Sites I worked on stopped chasing scores and started making progress. The audits I wrote weren't checklists anymore — they were strategic documents that told you what to do first, and why.

DadSEO automates that thinking. You connect Google Search Console, and the platform imports up to 16 months of your search data. Then it runs a strategic diagnosis: classifying every finding as a Threat, Gap, or Opportunity, scoring each by impact, and building a prioritized action plan. No score. No checklist. Just strategy.

What I Believe About SEO

Most SEO tools are built for compliance. DadSEO is built for decisions. I believe the right question isn't “what's broken?” — it's “what matters most right now?” That's the gap this tool fills.

Every feature in DadSEO exists because I needed it myself. The 20+ specialized audit types, the AI assistant that explains findings in plain language, the impact scoring that tells you where to spend your next hour — all of it came from running real audits on real sites and getting frustrated with the tools that already existed.
